The Story Behind Telegram88

From a simple idea to a platform trusted by hundreds of thousands of Malaysians.

Telegram88 was founded in 2018 with one simple but powerful goal: to build an online betting platform that truly understands and respects Malaysian players. Back then, most platforms were run by foreign companies that had no grasp of local payment methods, offered no Malay-language support, and showed little regard for the overall Malaysian user experience.

Founder Telegram88 — a small team of tech experts and sports enthusiasts from Kuala Lumpur — set out to change that. They started with a Sports Betting platform offering odds on the Malaysia Super League and EPL, with a fully Bahasa Melayu interface and support for local payment methods such as FPX and Maybank2u.

We don't want to be just another betting site. We want to be the platform that Malaysian players are truly proud to be part of — safe, fair, and enjoyable every single day.

In the first two years, Telegram88 grew through the most honest means possible — word of mouth. Satisfied players told their friends about a platform that paid out winnings quickly, offered competitive odds, and had a support team that genuinely helped. No big advertising campaigns, no empty promises — just a proven track record.

Continuous Growth

By 2020, Telegram88 has grown to include a Live Casino with real dealers, progressive jackpot slots, and betting on international sports such as cricket and football. The mobile platform launched in full, giving players access to all games from their smartphones with no app download required.

Today, Telegram88 is one of Malaysia's largest online betting platforms, with over 500,000 registered members. Our game collection spans more than 50 titles, including live blackjack, poker, progressive jackpots of up to MYR 2 million, Sports Betting with competitive odds, and much more. Every new feature we introduce is shaped directly by feedback from our player community.

Community Is Our Core: Telegram88 runs active community groups where members can share strategies, celebrate wins, and give direct feedback to our development team. Every idea you share could become a new feature on the platform.

Committed to Malaysia

What sets us apart Telegram88 from other platforms is our dedication specifically to the Malaysian community. We're not a global platform that simply translates content into Bahasa Melayu. We're a platform built from the ground up for Malaysian players — with the local payment methods you use every day, including Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, and DuitNow.

Our Sports Betting content focuses on what Malaysian players love most — the Malaysia Super League, EPL, badminton, and e-sports. Our customer support operates in Bahasa Melayu. All our promotions and bonuses are designed specifically for the Malaysian market. That's what we mean when we say we're a platform "for Malaysia, by Malaysia".

Looking Ahead

Telegram88 continues to grow. In the years ahead, we plan to expand our games library, enhance Sports Betting features with advanced analytics, and introduce a more comprehensive VIP loyalty programme. What will never change is our commitment to security, fairness, and the best possible user experience for every Telegram88 member across Malaysia.
